New Collabor88, Elymode For Pose Fair & My 10 SL Firsts Meme

Hey there, today’s post is to show you just some of the fun and awesome newness that you can get at the latest round of Collabor88.  I’ve been going nuts for some shorts/capris and summery tops and happily the designers really delivered.  My super cute poses today are from Elymode and available at Pose Fair for just a few more days.  It comes with six poses all together (mirrors included) and also a lunchbox that you can color change. There is also a lunchbox gacha machine that gives you a chance to win other boxes such as the Sakura Blossom box that I have here.

I decided to take a stab at Strawberry Singh’s lastest meme since I figured it would be a fun trip down memory  lane and give you alittle more insight into the blogger behind the blog.

My 10 SL Firsts Meme

1. First SL Friend: I would have to say Misty Harley who I met in my first few months in world at The Shelter.  We were both newbs trying to find our way around and she seemed to be the only one to ever try to offer me help when most of the old timers couldn’t seem to be bothered.  We seemed to hit it off and were friends for a long time until we had a falling out that was unfortunate and mostly based on  miscommunication.  I still miss her friendship till this day and hold no ill feelings against her.
2. First SL Kiss: Sighs, Dreucel Divisadero was my first kiss and the one who started me down the path of romantic entanglements in SL.  Before him I always managed to keep men at arms length but there was a chemistry between us that I just could not resist.  One night at the end of September 2006 he took me to see my first live performance in SL and while we listened to Lyndon Heart sing, he leaned over, took my hand and kissed me .  Damn could that man emote.
3. First SLex time/place/partner: This would go to Dreucel Divisadero again because that kiss quickly turned so electric we couldn’t fight it for very long.  Just being near him or him entering a room would make me feel sparks.  So, I’d have to say beginning of October 2006 would have been the fateful night.  He ended up breaking my heart, but after some time we did manage to repair our friendship and even though we haven’t talked in a long time  his number is still in my phone and his face is on my RL Facebook.
4. First SL Partner/Girlfriend/Boyfriend/Wife/Husband: My first boyfriend, then partner, then finance would be Matthew1 Mathieson.  A guy I had been dating suddenly vanished and showed no signs of returning and a friend of mine forced me out and over to The Shelter to be around people.  That was the first time I met him, I was so drawn to him I had to send an IM (something I don’t do often) and we had a nice chat.  Eventually we met again and talked and after some bumps I TPed him to a show I was at and within a short time we fell hard for one another.  I have to say from beginning to end our relationship lasted roughly three months perhaps slightly more (good ole SL) when I broke up with him a week before we were suppose to get married so that I could follow my heart to be with someone else.  That was probably the most foolish thing I ever did in my SL, not only did I break his heart but I lost one of the very few people that mattered most to me.  To this day I miss him and wonder where he is and how he is.
5. First SL Job: I mentioned this one in another meme I did.  It was the first and only job I’ve ever had in SL, being a cage/table dancer at a club.  I want to say it probably only lasted two months, but was so much fun and I enjoyed hanging out, dressing sexy and flirting with the boys.  After the owners got involved with some asshats I quit and decided that working in SL wasn’t for me.  Although I still think about becoming a creator, I never get far enough to make it a reality.
6. First SL Creation: I took a class in my early days of second life and learned how to make a fireplace.  I had a lot of fun doing it and actually used that fireplace in my first few homes way back in 2006.  After that class I took several more on how to make earrings and even how to make a flexi cape.  If nothing else it was a great way for me to learn how to use my editing tools better to move stuff around.
7. First Encounter with a Linden: I’ve never personally met or talked to a Linden before, I think I’ve seen one around, maybe, but never actually formally met one.
8. First Encounter with a SLebrity: Oh wow, I’d have to say the first time I sent an IM to Digby Smalls to tell him how great a job he did on one of his sets, we started chatting here and there and eventually he found his way on my friends list.  Even though we did chat and sometimes banter during his shows and I sexually harassed him endlessly during them too, I never quite got over his being this amazing sorta performer.  Cheesy I know.
9. First SL Sim you fell in love with: It’s name was Moonlight Salsa and Romance and it was a sim that was attached to the sim that I rented my home on for a  long time. There was a gorgeous waterfall, formal dancing place, wedding location and just little places to sit and relax.  You could go into the waterfall to all these little hideaway spots, but my fave spot was a little corner of the sim that had meditation pillows and I would sit there and listen to the wind chimes and watch the water flow by in the river.
10. First SL Blog Post: Ugh, do I really have to show this? Keep in mind I had NO clue what I was doing and no idea about how to get shadows or how to do windlight or anything, but here goes.  I personally think I’ve come a long way. http://camisstyle.wordpress.com/2011/11/18/this-is-my-first-post/

Feeling Electric

Hey There!  Just a quick post today to show you the gorgeous and super sexy dress from 1 Hundred that you can currently get at Event Hollywood and amazing necklace from Maxi Gossamer that you can find at Fameshed. 50 Shades of Sexy – Pillow Talk

Today’s post is combining several different things all into one.  First is week nine of The 50 Shades of Sexy challenge called  Pillow Talk.  Since pillow talk can mean so many different things to so many people in this modern age of ours I went with one that many online couples share, chatting online till the wee hours of morning.  I know I’ve been there in the days when my hubby and I first met online, eventually moving to the phone since it was just easier for both of us.

Winter Fair is Open

I find myself rather busy in SL the last few days so this is going to be a quick post to let you know that Winter Fair is now open and will run for two weeks.  There are so many incredible things to be found there to fill your closets with  lots of winter goodness. Back In Black

Hello Lovelies!  I know it’s been a few days again and I’m slowly getting back to 100%, but, if I must confess it wasn’t my illness that kept me away but my addiction to the Arcade Gacha.  Yes it’s true, I found myself trying to collect all the things I wanted and I’m still trying to get my hands on a pair of rare White Deco Bolts so if anyone reading this has a pair drop me a note inworld!  But before I digress any further I better get on with what I’m actually wearing today!  And one of my fave things I’m wearing, which is actually from the Arcade, are the Ingenue Adelaide Flats.  They come in a variety of colors and cost 50L per play.  I’m lucky enough to be wearing the Noir shade since those are one of the two rares you can get. 

Along with the Arcade is the fabulous latest round of Collabor88 which is where you can find these amazing tweed mesh pants from BOOM and necklace from Maxi Gossamer.  The necklace also comes with Silver in the same pack and the pants come in several different colors in multiple mesh sizes.  My face piercing is more newness from Ivy. called Sheena, which comes with the option to change metals or stones or the fatpack that lets you do both.  I’m showing you the fatpack because for everything you get it’s such a bargain. Wrapping up the look is more pretty from {me.} Jewelry which you can get at the latest round of Perfect Wardrobe.  There are several metal colors available and you can also buy matching bracelets seperately.  Before I go I finally got a decent pic of the Synthetique nails that I simply adore.  I know my hand still look sorta in yo face awkward but I thought it gave great detail on the nails AND the ring.  Happy Shopping!

Swimsuit, Mon Cheri?

So a few weeks ago I went on a hunt around the grid looking for some new swimsuits since most of the ones in my inventory I got ages ago and really need to be pitched, and will soon. That is when I found Mon Cheri and thier absolutely amazing suits! In my opinion they are the best I’ve seen on the grid, I absolutely adore the little details and how truely well made everything is. Stuff Your Inventory With Tattoos

More Summer Color!

Mmmhmm I’m doing another colorful post, but what can I say color is everywhere I turn lately.  This time it’s by way of the latest round of Collabor88!  I could not pass up this bright playful mesh romper by Boom and when paired with the messy updo from D!va you get that I don’t care relaxed kinda ‘tude.  Atleast that is how I felt all day while I wore it, especially when I threw on my oversized mesh glasses from Izzie’s, then finished up my look with new super cute earrings from Virtual Insanity and red flipflops from J’s! It was perfect for a laidback day roaming around the grid!

Love My Floral Skirt!

Hello there!  Yes I’m finally back with an actual blog post containing pics of me in an outfit and everything!  Since I had a bit of a lull in my blogger responsibilities I decided it would be a good time to take a few days off to focus on my RL and to also try and do other things in SL besides blog.  Mostly I worked on my land which still isn’t close to being done but that has lots to do with the fact I’m picky about how things look and want things to look organic and the fact I have to budget my lindens between stuff for home and for wearing! 

While I was busy shopping and working around the house I’ve been wearing this great summery outfit in my fave color red!  The tank is new from BOOM and was exactly what I was looking for to go with this super cute and fun skirt from Sleeping Koala.  The skirt, along with the lipstick I’m wearing, is an exclusive at the Culture Shock event and one of my fave things.  It also comes in blue, is partial mesh and has so many colors in both prints you can wear it with so many different tops!  Lastly I just have to mention my new ring that I got from Donna Flora, even though it’s been around for awhile I just found it and absolutely love it, it comes in two other colors and I hope to get them both!

My pics were taken today at the awesome music venue Straight Tequilla Nights, which just did a remodel and looks amazing!  I was there last night listening to my fave live performer Digby Smalls and rezzed there this morning at log in.  It fit my outfit perfectly since it’s got such a summery beachy feel.  Since I mentioned his name I figured I’d share another video of him.  He just did this cover recently and I have listened to it over and over again.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

More Pixel Mode Mesh

Since I am so in love with all the mesh newness from Pixel Mode I just had to do another post!  Today’s look was inspired by the Adara Cotton Dress which comes in a variety of solid colors and also lighter flower prints.  I love these kind of dresses in RL because they are both easy to wear but can also be super sexy at the same time and I feel no different about this dress!  I feel incredible in it and like the last dress I showed you, this one too is also boobage friendly so yes that cleavage is indeed all mine! 

 

I also have to show off some new fabulous jewelry that I just got!  The first is the earrings which is part of a group gift from Maxi Gossamer which also includes a matching necklace. I almost wore that too but I simply did not want to take off the necklace and bracelet that I found from {me.} at the latest round of the  Tropicalia Big Bazzar III.  It’s so beautiful and unique and has that earthy quality that will go with so many simple summer styles.

While putting this post together I was listening to my favorite SL Live Musician Digby Smalls.  He’s been making me melt with his super sexy voice for over four years and luckily I not only have lots of MP3s of his but he finally (with much poking and prodding) did some videos for us all to enjoy on YouTube.  One of my favorites is his original song Within Between Dreams which I thought about sharing with you today.  If you have never been to one of his shows you really should check it out, he does such a wide variety of genres and covers, plus a few of his own originals!  He really is incredible!!
