Monkeying Around With Strawberry’s Memes

The fabulous and talented Strawberry Singh has started different weekly memes on her blog for those of us who would want to take part.  Since this year one of my goals as a blogger was to take part in more challenges and memes I figured I would give these a shot.  I am behind, so I decided to do the first two, My Seven SL Facts and The Procrastination Meme. I hope this helps everyone get to know me a little more.

My Seven SL Facts:

Fact #1

Besides blogging and of-course shopping, I love the live music that SL has to offer and try to get out and hear a show atleast once a week.  I spent several years of my SL doing nothing but going from one show to another night after night, it was almost like having a special hangout in SL to go to, but in my opinion way better.

Fact #2

In my early days of SL I was a table/cage dancer at a club where I wore lingerie. It was a lot of fun, but didn’t last long because the owners kept moving locations and then got involved with the wrong crowd.

Fact #3

I’ve been collared once in SL. It lasted only a few months and although I wore a locked collar everyday none of my friends had a clue that I was someone’s sub.  Something about me having a crazy strong personality or something.

Fact #4

I’ve rented or owned land since around Oct/Nov 2006. I absolutely love having my own space since I tend to be a home body even in SL. My first rental was an old world rustic stone cottage, I only lived in the upper part since I barely had any prim allowance.

Fact #5

I enjoy SL nude beaches and have been going since early 2007, although now I don’t go all that often anymore and usually only to one beach that is members only.

Fact #6

Since I had so little time to be social I took up blogging after having my baby girl and wanting something to do in my SL besides stand around looking pretty at home.    My friend Kimbra had been blogging for several months and told me to give it a try.

Fact #7

I rarely spend time with my friends in world, most of the time I just chat with them in IM, unless we are going to be heading to the same location for a specific reason.

Procrastination Meme:

What is the rez date for your current SL Avatar that you use most often? Cami Mahovlich – My first avatar and my main since June 27, 2006

Where was the first place you made friends as a newb and got to know people in Second Life? The Shelter, which was my hangout for a couple years till the evil immature overlords took over.

Where do you spend most of your SL time now? At my home enjoying my actual land or up on my studio platform working on my blog.

Who is your closest friend in Second Life? (only pick one) Kimbra Iridescent since February 2008 when she IMed me at a club to say she was a fan of The Killers too.

What is the most favorite thing in your inventory? (only pick one) My mesh barefeet from Gos Boutique.

The last thing you purchased in Second Life? Ginger Satin Dress in Blue from 1 Hundred at Event Hollywood

What color clothing does your avatar wear most often? Black or red

Do you prefer to walk, run or fly? Fly because I’m too impatient to walk and I think I look stupid when I run.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done in SL? I don’t think I’ve really done anything crazy in SL that I can think of.

Little of This, Little of That

Today I have lots of newness to show you so I’ll just jump in and get started.  First up is Pose Fair that starts tomorrow at noon slt and as always is just filled with so much awesome.  I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek and have two poses from two designers to show you.  First is the new Defy Pack from D.Luxx which is ten fab single saucy gal poses.  Then from Embody poses we have the Call Me pack that includes a prop phone and five different phone poses. I have two different looks to show you today.  The first one is sexy newness from Cynful that you can find at The Boobies Show which comes in several colors, Tango Appliers and a HUD that lets you change the color of the spikes (gold, silver or pink) or hide them all together.  Giving this fab simple look a bit more rock n roll is the  new Audrey Muse necklace and rings from Bens Beauty.  My other look that is also simple yet super cute is the Sara Set in Teal from Immerse that will be available at the Hollywood event for free.  This set is actually two separate pieces (skirt and top)  and also comes in other colors that will be available for purchase as well.   Adding that touch of summer is the new Lolita Espadrilles from Gos Boutique that you can currently find at The Boutique event.  Happy Shopping Everyone!

Skin Fair 2013: Rockberry

Skin Fair 2013 starts March 15th and brings with it over eighty of the best skin designers Second Life has to offer.  There are several skins that I wanted to show you but had to start off with the beautiful Paige by Rockberry.

Paige comes in four tones, Light, Natural, Tan and Dark and includes twelve different make-ups.  It also includes the options of face or upper body freckles, cleavage or not and three eyebrow colors blond, black and brown.  I think this skin is simply stunning and perfect for someone who likes a more natural look, since most of the make-up options are not very bold or over the top.  For more info about Skin Fair head on over to their main website.

Sunday Fun

This super cute dress from *LpD* automatically invoked feelings of fun and flirtiness the moment I put it on.  It comes in two other color combinations but since I adore black and white I just had to pick it.  This is the kind of  dress you can dress up or dress down depending on the accessories and I went casual with this super sweet hair from Wasabi Pills and boots from Slink.

My Footie Pajamas

One of my favorite things to do in RL is read, there is nothing like curling up with a good book and hot cup of coffee on a cold snowy or rainy day.  Yes when I say book, I mean an actual book made of paper pages and a cover, not that there is anything wrong with tablets( I actually own a Nook) but there is an experience you get with a book that you can’t without it.  So I guess then it’s no surprise that I love to read in SL, I’ve always had reading animations and make sure to have a special little corner I can go to and relax.  Last night I decided to slip into my reindeer footie jammies, grab some hot cocoa and snuggle up by the fire for a read in my bedroom.  My idea of a peaceful winter night.

Evening Stroll

Hello Lovelies!  I took a little stroll at dusk the other night to clear my head and decided it was a great opportunity to snap some pics of my latest outfit.  This was one of those outfits I fell in love with and that just came together on it’s own so easily.  I don’t think I could pick just one thing that is my absolute favorite but I do have to make special mention about the new Pixel Mode Diamond Edition mesh nails.  Yes mesh nails, and they are amazing!  The best feature is they can fit any size hands from 0-100 automatically, no more sizing your hands or changing your sliders to make them fit,  just wear and go.  The pack comes in two lengths of nails, short and long and also with a HUD that lets you change to different colors of polish.  I’m hoping that she may even come out with more add-on packs of colors and designs to give us even more versatility since I see myself wearing these nails a lot.  That’s it for me, be sure to get out there and hit all the fabulous events around the grid and head over to Pixel Mode to check out these nails!
